The Supreme Court today refused to stop the release of Aamir Khan's film PK, rejecting a petition that said some scenes hurt "religious sentiment".
"If you don't like it, then don't watch the film, but don't bring religious facets in it," the court told the petitioner.
"Indian society is very matured and knows the difference between entertainment and other things," the judges added.
The first look poster of P.K was released a week back and it featured Aamir Khan virtually nude.
This picture got fantastic response and at the same time, religious groups and political parties made protests about Aamir’s nude look.
Aamir Khan didn't bother about the controversy and said that it's nothing but a form of art.
Popular Bollywood filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani is directing this comedy-drama and Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput, Boman Irani and Sanjay Dutt will be appearing in pivotal roles.
Rajkumar Hirani, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Siddharth Roy Kapur are jointly producing P.K under Rajkumar Hirani Films, Vinod Chopra Films and UTV Motion Pictures banners.
P.K will be releasing on December 19, 2014 across the globe.
